Upgrades to gravity flow metal detectors

Several new features have been added to Mettler-Toledo Safeline gravity flow metal detectors. The RT (Reduced Test) Mode significantly reduces the frequency of metal detector testing to every 12 hours from every two hours. The ATS (Automatic Test System) automatically introduces three test pieces into the metal detector’s aperture in a controlled manner via a pneumatic system. eDrive technology enables the metal detector to recognize smaller metal contaminants, delivering up to 20 percent increased spherical sensitivity. The emulation feature allows operators to mirror the human machine interface of one or more metal detectors on to remote networked devices, including mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Line operators can also monitor metal detectors located high above production lines, eliminating the need to work at dangerous heights.
