Campbell Soup Co. has broken ground on a $44 million, 740,000-square-foot distribution center in Hancock County, Ohio. Projected to open in approximately one year, the facility, which will serve as the company’s future Midwest distribution hub, is expected to employ over 200 workers.

JBT Corporation has paid over $36 million, before customary post-closing adjustments, to purchase U.K.-based PLF International Limited, which makes powder filling systems for the global food and beverage markets. The acquisition adds approximately $25 million of annual revenue.
