On May 3, FDA announced it’s giving food companies another 18 months to comply with the rules to update nutrition facts labels and serving sizes on their packaging. Manufacturers with $10 million or more in annual food sales now have a Jan. 1, 2020 deadline to comply with the rules, while the compliance date for manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales is now Jan. 1, 2021.
