Whole Foods postponing launch of mandatory GMO labeling plan

According to a Fox News report, Whole Foods is scrapping its September 1, 2018 deadline requiring food suppliers and stores to label foods that contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). A spokesperson for the company stated the labeling policy is being postponed while the Department of Agriculture “finalizes its Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard.”
