Anheuser-Busch holds “How Much Water Can You Save” competition

Anheuser-Busch’s “How Much Water Can You Save” annual competition, which challenged employees at its 45 US facilities to identify water saving opportunities, and develop and implement their ideas, resulted in 24 initiatives that have been implemented at facilities across the country, saving over 92.8 million gallons of water.

The winning submission came from John Allen, a technician at the Metal Container Corporation Arnold Can Plant outside St. Louis, MO. Allen determined the exact type of valve equipment required to ensure each supply line provided the optimal amount of water needed for the can washer process and identified almost 17 million gallons in annual water savings. He will receive two tickets to Super Bowl LIII for winning the competition.
