MillerCoors Trenton Brewery, Trenton, Ohio, received the AME 2016 Excellence Award for demonstrating business, environmental and manufacturing excellence.
The primary focus of the award, presented by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), Rolling Meadows, Illinois, “is to acknowledge organizations [that] create an environment that actively engages employees in continuous improvement, creativity and innovation,” says Michael Bremer, vice president of the AME Excellence Award Council. “The assessment team’s impression of MillerCoors Trenton is that this plant has done a very good job to create an engaged workforce that is continually driving measurable improvements throughout the organization.”

The AME assessment team highlighted that MillerCoors Trenton Brewery created an engaged workforce that empowered teams to collaboratively produce world-class business results, including excellent zero landfill performance, energy reduction, water reduction and use of all materials. In fact, to help protect and sustain the supply of the company’s most essential ingredient, the brewery reduced water usage by 18% from 2011-2015 and reduced energy by 26% from 2011-2015.
