Tyson Foods has announced a Forest Protection Standard focused on reducing deforestation risk in its global supply chain. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Proforest to conduct a deforestation risk assessment, which found that almost 94% of the Tyson’s land footprint is at no to low risk of being associated with deforestation.

The Forest Protection Standard was developed to ensure the company is continuing to target the reduction of deforestation risk throughout its global supply chain and proactively address the remaining 6% of Tyson’s land footprint that was found to be at risk.
