Utz Buying Vitner’s Brand

The transaction complements the company’s strategy of expanding in major metro areas and will secure a foothold for Utz in the Midwest and Chicago.

Utz Brands is paying Snak-King $25 million to acquire Chicago-based Vitner’s brand of potato chips, popcorn, and cheese and corn snacks. The deal is planned to close on February 8, after which Utz will transfer the manufacturing of Vitner’s products to its own plants.
