U.S. market for food and beverage processing machinery topped $5.2 billion in 2016, forecast to reach $6.1 billion by 2021

A new study from PMMI Business Intelligence takes an extensive look at food processing machinery, market by market, with consumer trends, how manufacturers are meeting shifting demand, and why this is putting pressure on operations.

The new report reveals that meat and poultry was the biggest category for machinery sales, commanding $1.4 billion of the market. Beverage machinery accounted for $.8 billion, and dairy $.6 billion.

However, beverage machinery sales are forecast to grow fastest through 2021 with a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 4.2 percent.
