Archer Daniels Midland Company will be opening a new high-capacity mill in Mendota, IL in the second quarter of this year. The mill will grind soft and hard wheat varieties, with a daily milling capacity of 30,000 cwts. In an effort to realign its milling capacity, ADM will be ceasing production at its flour mills in Minneapolis and Salina, KS, as well as its wheat mill in Chicago.
