All right, hello, my name is Kyle Rhodes. I'm the president of Magnetic Products. Magnetic Products is a company that manufactures magnetic separation equipment. We keep metal from coming into your product, into your facility, and also keep it from going out. And so we have all different types of magnetic separators for different applications, whether it's liquid, gravity, or pneumatic conveying, we take metal out from the entire process. And we've always supplied traditional magnetic separators. We now kind of refer to them as dumb magnetic separators where they're in the product line.
They sit there, they capture metal, and accumulate metal until they're clean, and we find that many customers go and clean their magnets to find that there's not any metal on them, but as part of their HACCP program, their quality programs, they have to be cleaned on a regular basis to make sure that there's no metal on them. What happens is if a magnet becomes too saturated, then it cannot hold any more metal, and as as soon as it starts collecting some ferrous metal, overall it becomes weaker and weaker and weaker.
So knowing this is an industry-wide problem, we decided to take a look and see how can we change this. How can we give our customers more information about the status of their magnets? And we then launched the Intell-I-Mag platform, and the Intell-I-Mag platform actually is a sensor-based technology that is integral to our magnetic separators and in real time, we are able to tell you how much metal is on your magnetic separator without going and looking at it yourself or shutting down your process line to clean it just because it has to be clean, and so what we found is that really gives our customers a huge ROI because of the added throughput that they're able to get because they don't have to shut down their equipment as much, and with maintenance costs, it's hard to find the people and automation, and a sensor like this can really save our customers a lot of money. So we take our traditional magnetic separators we built, put them on two magnets. We built them on plate magnets, and they have sensors installed in them. So if you come over here, this would be a traditional drawer style magnet.
So we have a really strong magnetic tube in here. So when metal comes through, it snaps to the tube, very strong, holds metal fines, holds work-hardened stainless steel. And as you would expect with any magnetic separator, as you put metal on it, it snaps to it. But what we're doing here with the Intell-I-Mag platform, is we're showing you in real time how we are collecting metal, so 100% is fully saturated. In this case, we don't want to wait until the magnet gets 100% saturated before we clean it. So we set up this separator to clean or to alert us that it needs to be cleaned at 50%, so well before it's fully saturated, and our users are able to set that alert at whatever they want. If they want it to be 10%, if they want it to be 75%, it may depend on where the magnet's at in their separator and what the purpose of it is. But once it hits that mark, and I don't have enough metal here to get this one fully loaded to 50%, but then we're able to clean it, and the separator goes back down to 0%. So that's how the Intell-I-Mag platform works.
So very similar application over here. This is our blade magnet. So this replaces traditional liquid finger traps, the finger tubes, the 1-inch tubes. Oftentimes, we find that those tubes become damaged from operators using them and setting it down to clean he magnet, so we've always offered a larger tube design and just recently patented and released our blade-style magnets. You can hold it like a blade, so it's a very ergonomic to pick up. There's no wobbly handle to wrap around. It's very durable, has a lot of strength, and best of all, it has the 2-inch tube Intell-I-Mag platform built into it.
We also offer this in pneumatic applications, whether it's plates or tubes as well. So whatever your application is in, Intell-I-Mag is available, and if you'd like to learn more, please visit our website, MPImagnet.com. Again, my name is Kyle and thank you for listening.
