Global Food Safety Initiative raises the bar for food safety with Version 2020, marking the beginning of a new generation of benchmarking, recognition, and transparency

The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has announced the latest edition of its Benchmarking Requirements, a complete rethink, with new requirements for food safety certification, while simplifying and standardizing the approach. Known as Version 2020, the new requirements include two scopes focused on hygienic design, elements of food safety culture, and reinforced impartiality of the auditing process and the monitoring of certification bodies.
