Well, it may soon be a reality as a recent article from TheStar discussed a new robot intended to assist factory workers by reading their minds. The robot monitors the worker’s brain waves and collects electric signals from muscles to predict their needs as they work seamlessly together to assemble a complex product. The device is intended to address China’s shrinking workforce and rising labor costs. The idea of robotic industrial assistants is catching on; China has seen 15% annual growth since 2016.
