Glanbia Nutritionals has paid $89 million to purchase Watson, an 80-year-old Connecticut-based producer of custom nutrient premix, bakery ingredient, edible film and material conditioning solutions. The Watson leadership team and 300 employees will remain with the Glanbia Nutritionals organization. The transaction is expected to be completed by the second quarter of this year.
