FDA delaying enforcement of new Nutrition Facts Label rules

Food manufacturers given until July 1, 2020 to comply

FDA has announced it will not enforce the new Nutrition Facts Label standards for the first six months following the January 1, 2020 compliance date. Instead, it will work during this period with manufacturers to help them meet the labeling requirements. FDA has a Q&A section on its website that includes resources and the most frequently asked questions received via its inquiry form and during presentations made to various stakeholder groups.
