General Mills Plans to Improve Plant in Iowa

The project is set to begin, following approval for tax benefits under the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s High Quality Jobs program.

General Mills is going to invest $37 million to upgrade existing equipment and add more efficient machinery at its Cedar Rapids, Iowa plant, which produces cereal, frosting, and dried fruit snacks. The project is expected to add 50 jobs to the plant’s roster.
