Company will be expanding its portfolio with the addition of a range of healthy foods.

Mars Inc. has announced it will acquire Kind North America. Kind International will operate independently within the Mars portfolio. Although no details have been disclosed, the New York Times cited sources who valued the transaction to be $5 billion.
