Conestoga Cold Storage, a leading provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics solutions, is expanding its operations with the construction of a new greenfield facility in Halton Hills, Ont., Canada. Featuring cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, the state-of-the-art facility will have a capacity of more than 96 million cu ft, making it one of the largest cold storage facilities in the world.
The facility is designed to minimize its environmental impact, incorporating energy-efficient technologies, advanced waste management systems, and renewable energy sources, and will leverage automation and advanced logistics systems to provide efficiency and accuracy in cold storage management.
Currently under construction, the project’s first phase is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024.
