ProFood World recently opened the call for entries for its two annual award programs: the Manufacturing Innovation Awards (MIA) and the Sustainability Excellence in Manufacturing Awards (SEMA). Each year, we give exceptional new projects and the people behind them the chance to shine. From greenfield plants to facility renovations and new line integration projects, the MIA awards showcase technology at its best, while the SEMA awards highlight projects in power and water savings, as well as packaging and waste reductions.

In June 2020 at ProFood Live!, ProFood World will recognize outstanding food and beverage processing and packaging innovation projects via the sixth annual Sustainability Excellence in Manufacturing Awards. These awards recognize manufacturing plants for their efforts in driving improved performance through sustainability, honoring those that go beyond environmental compliance. The awards focus on pollution prevention, environmental protection and stewardship, as well as compliance assurance. View videos of past winners, including Conagra Brands, Sierra Nevada Brewing and Hormel, and learn more about submitting entries at www.profoodworld.com/awards/sema.

Also at ProFood Live!, ProFood World will honor food and beverage processing and packaging innovation projects via the fourth annual Manufacturing Innovation Awards competition. Eligible projects include greenfield, major renovations or major line expansions incorporating groundbreaking technology. The judging criteria comprises automation, efficiency and cost savings, flexible manufacturing, food safety, and more.
