A new Munson Ribbon Blender, model HD-6-1/2-15 SS, blends up to 500 cu ft (14.16 m3) of bulk solid materials with or without low or high percentages of liquids.

The split double-helical agitator design employs outer and inner blades that move material in opposing directions, achieving batch uniformity in 5 to 10 minutes typical.

One-piece welded construction, heavy-gauge walls and reinforced end panels allow outer blades to pass within 1/16 to 1/8 in. (1.6 to 3.2 mm) of the vessel wall, minimizing residual material waste and cleaning time following discharge.

A hinged lid with removable, safety-interlocked grate as standard provides access to the vessel interior for cleaning and inspection.

Driven by a 150 HP (111.9 kW) motor, the flange-mounted agitator can be hoisted vertically for ease of servicing.

The stainless-steel unit is available to industrial, pharmaceutical and food-grade standards, from clean mill finishes to 2B, #4 and #7 mirror pharmaceutical finishes and USDA Dairy finishes.

Options include a bag dump station for minor additions, spray lines for liquid additions, independently driven choppers/intensifiers, multiple discharges, special drive arrangements, heating/cooling jackets, and CIP manifolds. Other models range in capacity from 1 to 1,150 cu ft (28 L to 33 m3).
