Scoular building new facility

The new facility will produce freeze-dried protein ingredients for the pet food industry.

Employee-owned, Omaha, Nebraska-based Scoular is spending approximately $50 million to build a 105,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art freeze-drying manufacturing facility, which will establish Scoular’s new freeze-dried pet food ingredients platform, in Seward, Nebraska. The facility is projected to be operational by early fall 2020 and is expected to create nearly 100 jobs. Scoular has more than 100 offices and grain-handling facilities in North America, South America and Asia.
