Nearly 10 Tons of Kroger Chicken Salad Bowls Recalled Due to an Undeclared Allergen

The ready-to-eat products sold at Kroger stores in 12 states may contain wheat, a known allergen, that was not declared on the label.

Contract manufacturer Taylor Farms Pacific, in Tracy, Calif., is recalling approximately 19,976 pounds (9.9 tons) of Kroger-branded ready-to-eat (RTE) apple walnut with chicken salad bowls due to misbranding, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The product may contain wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the recalled items.
