Contract manufacturer Salm Partners is recalling approximately 35,430 pounds (17.7 tons) of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa that Salm Partners manufactured for Johnsonville. The products may be contaminated with pieces of rubber, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The problem was discovered after consumer complaints about pieces of rubber in the ready-to-eat sausage. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injury due to consumption of the recalled kielbasa, which was produced between October 30 and 31, 2023.

This is the second recall of products from Salm Partners in recent months. Another recall was issued in January for 66.5 tons of Aldi's Parkview turkey kielbasa that was made by Salm Partners for the retailer.
