In an effort to meet hospital demands, the Spanish army, firefighters, and hundreds of volunteers recently set up and equipped an emergency hospital, which can accommodate 6,000 patients, at the Madrid Exhibition Centre. A vacuum system was needed, and Busch Spain answered the call, quickly dismantling the Busch vacuum system used for training purposes in its own showroom and delivering to Madrid. The vacuum system consists of three R5 rotary vane vacuum pumps, mounted on a vacuum vessel, and upstream bacteria filters. Since it was ready for operation and connection, the system was immediately ready for use.
