Molson Coors and HEXO Corp Expand Partnership

The 2 companies initiate new joint venture set to explore opportunities for hemp-derived CBD beverages.

Molson Coors Logo

Molson Coors and HEXO Corp have started a new joint venture, called Truss CBD USA, to develop non-alcohol hemp-derived CBD beverages. The joint venture will be majority owned by Molson Coors and will operate as a standalone entity with its own board of directors, management team, resources, and go-to-market strategy. All production and distribution for Truss CBD USA will be kept within Colorado, which has an established regulatory framework for hemp-derived CBD in food and beverages.

Molson Coors and HEXO already have a joint venture, named Truss Beverages, which is expected to launch its first non-alcohol cannabis-infused beverages in Canada later this year.
