Barilla Appoints New President, Region Americas, Barilla Group

Melissa Tendick, vice president, marketing, Barilla Americas, will be assuming the leadership role, following the departure of Jean-Pierre Comte.

Barilla has announced Jean-Pierre Comte, president, Region Americas, will be leaving after 13 years with the company. Melissa Tendick, vice president, marketing, Barilla Americas, will assume the role of president Region Americas, effective June 1.

Tendick began her career at Barilla in 2003 and joined the marketing team in 2005. During her tenure, she led the U.S. dry pasta business to the highest value market shares and established a solid foundation for Barilla’s business in the U.S. Tendick has also been a long-standing internal champion of diversity and inclusion and serves as one of the executive sponsors for Barilla’s Employee Resource Group on Diversity & Inclusion.
