The quick-chill, 100% recyclable bottles feature wide (38-mm) openings and are reclosable. The aluminum roll-on pilfer-proof (ROPP) closures are supplied by Closure Systems International Japan (www.csiclosures.com).

The aluminum bottles feature the same high-quality graphics found on Miller’s conventional can packaging, applied using a dry offset printing process. The bottles are manufactured at Ball’s aluminum beverage can plant in Monticello, IN.

Nine-packs of Miller Lite aluminum pint bottles are being tested throughout much of the Midwest and South through the end of 2008. The marketing focus is on convenience stores. Miller Lite vp of marketing Grant Leech comments, “The great taste of Miller Lite gets even better when it’s enjoyed from our new aluminum pint.
