Leak detection equipment extends shelf life

The INFICON Contura S600 nondestructive leak detection system, which was displayed at PACK EXPO Las Vegas, features an oversized test chamber. Designed to test multiple products at the same time, the system utilizes a differential pressure method to detect both gross and fine leaks. It can be used for products sold for bulk retail and foodservice applications, as well as large-format Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and flexible packages for a variety of food applications, including pet food, meat and poultry, baked goods, snack foods, confectionery/candy, cheese, grains and cereals, prepared food and produce.
