Barilla expands Ames, Iowa facility.

Barilla has opened the $65 million expansion of its Ames, Iowa pasta plant and integrated durum mill, which now includes two additional processing and packaging lines, a railyard expansion and six new silos to store wheat. The expansion will increase the facility’s production capacity to 200,000 metric tons of dry pasta annually and add 41 jobs to its roster.
