Change continues to dictate the food and beverage processing industries. With trends like organic and natural, ethnic and spicy, better-for-you and ready-to-serve propelling new products into the marketplace, technology evolves month to month rather than year to year. Regulations like the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and the threat of devastating recalls continue to drive capital investment in technology and equipment.
These are just some of the developments and industry challenges that will be addressed at the most comprehensive food and beverage show in North America, ProFood Tech. Now in its second edition, and once again powered by three of the world’s trade show leaders — PACK EXPO, Koelnmesse (organizer of Anuga) and the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) — this biennial processing show returns to McCormick Place in Chicago, March 26-28.
Unprecedented in its ability to bring the industry together and focus on the key issues facing food and beverage processing operators in North America, ProFood Tech 2019 will include 7,000 processing professionals and 400 of the world’s top suppliers from 20 countries spanning 125,000 net square feet of exhibit floor and 25 hours of blockbuster educational programming.
The show floor is packed with solutions, including four new international pavilions, the Dairy Pavilion presented by IDFA and the ProFood Tech Knowledge Hubs offering free targeted learning experiences from industry thought leaders on the show floor:
• The IMPACT Zone will encourage interactive discussions and offer opportunities to learn from the experiences and successes of industry colleagues.
• The INNOVATION Zone will feature breakthrough technologies, ideas and formulations designed to spark creativity, help find solutions and uncover fresh opportunities.
• The DISRUPTION Zone will deliver a line-up of sessions for professionals to learn more about implementing disruptive technologies to meet consumer demands.
In 2019 we have also added even more networking and information exchange opportunities, including the Cold Pressure Council Annual Conference. Held during ProFood Tech, the conference focuses on high pressure processing (HPP) best practices, the latest market trends, packaging material insights, new HPP uses and tips for packaging HPP products. Registration is $495 and includes registration for ProFood Tech.
The winners of ProFood World’s 2018 Sustainability Excellence in Manufacturing Awards and 2019 Manufacturing Innovation Awards will also be honored during events in Booth 1432 on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Wednesday at 3 p.m., with a networking reception featuring the winners following Wednesday’s awards.
Finally, ProFood Tech will once again host a Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network event and presentation to ensure engagement among all attendee demographics.
