Grillo’s Pickles opened a 155,000-sq-ft production facility in Bartholomew County, Ind., with a July 27 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The plant, located at 10990 Hubler Drive in Taylorsville, is designed to increase and centralize the company’s refrigerated pickle production. Grillo’s, a subsidiary of Irresistible Foods Group, says the facility will ultimately create up to 150 jobs in Bartholomew County.
The company is still looking to fill more than 40 positions at the site, with openings ranging from entry-level roles to director-level positions. Available roles include maintenance mechanic, maintenance technician, and director of engineering.
Grillo’s says its pickles are packed, shipped, and sold refrigerated using a century-old family recipe and no artificial preservatives. The company says the new centralized production site allows it to scale operations, meet current demand, and position the brand for future growth.
“This facility represents a major milestone for Grillo’s Pickles as demand for our refrigerated pickles continues to grow nationally,” says Adam Kaufman, President and CEO, Grillo’s Pickles.
ProFood World previously reported that Grillo’s confirmed plans for the $54 million food manufacturing operation in 2025, when the company broke ground on the 155,000-sq-ft facility along I-65 in Bartholomew County. The site is adjacent to a previously announced King’s Hawaiian bakery operation, also tied to Irresistible Foods Group.
