Attention--disposable cup packaging

Color-Box®, a division of Atlanta-GA-based Georgia-Pacific (www.gp.com), has developed a unique package design for G-P’s patented Dixie® PerfecTouch Grab N Go 12-oz hot beverage, insulated cup/lid multipacks.

Pw 8894 Dixie Perfec Touch R

Introduced in March 2006, and aimed at driving insulated cup sales during the holidays and all year long, the high-shelf-visibility, shrink-wrapped 14-count cup/lid/carton multipacks are designed to be easy to carry and store.

The curved cut-away-top paperboard cartons with full-overlap (FOL) bottoms are litho-printed in five colors, laminated, and die-cut at the Color-Box facility in Harrington, DE. The finished cartons provide high-impact, sales-generating billboard graphics.

After the double-wall cups with nonslip grip and snap-on dome lids are loaded into the cartons, 0.6-mil shrink film from Cryovac (www.cryovac.com) is applied using shrink wrap equipment from Hugo Beck (www.hugobeck.com).
