Tetra Pak has achieved 50 percent renewable electricity consumption across all its global operations. Since the company made an RE100 commitment two years ago to use only renewable electricity by 2030, it has increased its usage by a factor of 2.5, employing  initiatives such as purchasing International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs) and installing solar power at its facilities.

Notably, Tetra Pak factories in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and South Africa use electricity from 100 percent renewable sources. Seventeen of its major sites run on only renewable electricity.
