The Pennsylvania site will double the company’s production of chicken sold nationally at premium health-food markets and upscale retailers.

Premium poultry producer Bell & Evans is building a 411,500-sq-ft, organic-certified chicken harvesting facility at a cost of $330 million in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania. Projected to be operational by late next year, the site is being constructed with environmental, sustainable, and humane-welfare practices in accordance with the Green Loan Principles, and will double the company’s current production capacity.
