Widely used across the process industries, the ROSS line VersaMix Multi Shaft Mixers are versatile, robust systems engineered for precise processing of viscous solutions, dispersions, suspensions, and emulsions with viscosities in the hundreds of thousands of centipoise.

The purpose-built ROSS Model VMC-320 features three powerful agitators: a two-wing anchor agitator driven by a 10 HP TEFC motor at 29 rpm, a 5 HP pitched blade turbine operating at 257 rpm, and a 10 HP auger agitator rotating at 135 rpm. The two-wing anchor, with its heavy-duty triangular cross-section and hinged Teflon scrapers, feeds product towards the turbine blades, ensuring constant batch turnover.

The mixer is constructed of stainless-steel type 304 with all surfaces polished to an 80-grit finish and has a maximum working capacity of 320 gallons. An air/oil hydraulic lift allows complete operator access to the agitators and batch product. Safety limit switches prevent the operation of the drives when the stirrers are in the raised position or when the vessel is removed from the mixing position.

The multiple mix can configuration allows for semi-continuous operation, while a 3" flush bottom ball valve facilitates convenient discharge. Mounted on non-sparking casters, interchangeable mix cans are easy to transport across the production floor.

A NEMA 12 control panel with user-friendly 7" touchscreen was customized for this mixer, providing independent agitator speed controls, load displays, cycle timer, and critical safety functions.
