PepsiCo Inc. has published its 2018 Sustainability Report, which details its progress in meeting its sustainability goals and efforts to help build a more sustainable food system: Some of the highlights of the report include:

  • Reducing absolute greenhouse gas Scope 3 emissions (outside the company’s direct operations) by approximately 2.2 million metric tons and decreasing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 6.4 percent within its direct operations
  • Setting a new goal of reducing virgin plastic content by 35 percent across its beverage portfolio by 2025
  • Packaging LIFEWTR in the US in 100 percent recycled plastic bottles beginning in 2020
