Latest reports on the European and U.S. closures market show increasing demand for caps and closures and highlight the popularity of many different cap and closure types.

Based on these results, Coveris Rigid Mansfield started developing a 38 mm beverage cap by using its unique Compression Moulding technology. As a result, Coveris could improve on what was already available, offering customers an innovative lightweight alternative to existing cap designs.

The new 2.3 gram cap is available in all colours, can be decorated with screen print, debossing or embossing, and can also be textured. The PE cap will be offered in 3 start, 2 start, bore seal and non bore seal for liner applications.

Due to the production process involved, there are no injection points to spoil the smooth lines of the product.

Coveris’ innovative lightweight cap is suitable for the complete beverage industry from dairy to nutrition drinks.
