Processing line solutions featuring Urschel® and KRONEN® equipment will be shown during PACK EXPO, held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois from October 18-21, 2026. For the first time on a showroom floor, processors can witness how Urschel and KRONEN machinery work in tandem to optimize production via a Sprint 2® Dicer and KRONEN HEWA 3800 PLUS, connected with a KRONEN conveyor. Visit Urschel at Booth LU-7135 to learn more and explore other Urschel and KRONEN solutions, including the new Little Gem Aspire™ Dicer.
• The Sprint 2 Dicer provides continuous 2- or 3-dimensional cutting for uninterrupted production. Its slice thickness, crosscut, and circular knife spindles can be adjusted to achieve a full range of dices, crumbles/granulations, or strips. Precise cuts result from the crosscut knife spindle working in conjunction with other components to create a compact cutting zone.
• The HEWA 3800 PLUS disinfects, washes, and mixes vegetables, herbs, and fruit to optimally sanitize the product in a reduced cleaning time. The versatile machine is usually positioned downstream of a cutting machine between the low-care and high-care area, and the wash tank is filled either automatically by an infeed belt or manually.
Additional Urschel and KRONEN equipment will join the Sprint 2-HEWA 3800 line at PACK EXPO. Machines can run by themselves or can be integrated into processing lines to streamline operations.
Urschel Precision Cutting Solutions:
Urschel's' Little Gem Aspire DicerUrschel
• The M VersaPro® (MVP) Dicer is the newest machine to join the Urschel M lineup, offering increased capacity and a patented, fluted crosscut option. The machine features a high-capacity output, backed by an adjustable VFD, strong horsepower, and gentle cutting action. An intuitive touchscreen HMI option is also available.
• The E TranSlicer® Cutter continuously processes firm and leafy, compressible products through interchangeable stainless steel cutting options for uninterrupted production. Optional static hold-down, non-powered top belts or powered top-belt hold-down assemblies are available to maintain positive feeding assistance. Interchangeable stainless steel cutting options include slicing, patented MicroSlice® and julienne wheels.
• The ruggedly designed DiversaCut 2110A® Dicer with built-in discharge conveyor features an all-encompassing system that streamlines usability to deliver slices, dices, strips, and shreds at large-scale capacities. A maximum infeed product of 10″ (254 mm) in any dimension allows for labor-cost savings and waste reduction by eliminating the need to precut products. Production-proven targeted precision cutting at high capabilities is made possible with the compact cutting zone. The built-in conveyor additionally facilitates batch processing into totes or onto conveying systems or platforms.
• With a large 32" (813 mm) diameter cutting zone, the CCX-D Shredder delivers continuous shredding operations to promote higher capacities and lessens product build-up. The versatile machine features different interchangeable cutting heads, enabling changeovers in just minutes. An attached swing away feed hopper, hinged access panels, sloped surfaces, and stainless steel highly polished to U.S.D.A., Dairy Division accepted standards promote optimal sanitation.
KRONEN Processing Solutions:
• The multifunctional, belt-fed GS 10-2 Slicer boasts effective and gentle slicing, dicing, shredding, grating, and segmenting solutions across many product groups, making it an ideal high-capacity cutting option for food processors. Product enters the machine on a built-in flat conveyor that moves it toward the rotating cutting knife at speeds preset on the keypad. This allows cut thickness to be adjusted without having to change the knife.
• The KS-100 PLUS Spin-Dryer is a top KRONEN spin-dryer for its ergonomic design, counter-rotating centrifuge cycle, and 99 program memory locations to efficiently dry a variety of food items at a high capacity. These features, paired with optimal spinning results, the potential to reduce draining times, and user-friendly operation make the dryer a popular choice for processors worldwide.
• The Tona V Cutting Machine continuously cuts fruits and vegetables into slices, segments, or sticks, with cutting inserts that can be quickly changed to easily alternate between products. Applications are placed into rotating holders throughout the automated cutting process – performed electrically - to achieve optimal results, with the cut product discharged into a crate placed below the machine.
By investing in KRONEN, Urschel expands its inventory beyond solely industry-leading precision cutting machinery to support processors in all aspects of production. PACK EXPO International 2026 attendees are encouraged to visit Urschel at Booth LU-7135 to discover the best operational fit for their line and to inquire about complimentary test-cutting services on Urschel and KRONEN equipment. Attend Pack Expo free-of-charge on behalf of Urschel when entering the code 62T45 at registration.
