Kerry has officially opened a 48,600-sq-ft coffee extraction facility in Bethlehem, Pa., marking the company’s first manufacturing site in the state and expanding its coffee extraction capacity in North America.

The facility is dedicated to developing natural coffee taste and flavor profiles using advanced extraction and concentration technologies. It’s designed to support applications such as ready-to-drink coffee beverages, alcoholic drinks, ice cream, and savory sauces. Kerry first announced plans for the site in September 2025.

The Bethlehem operation includes independent hot and cold brew extraction lines, allowing Kerry to scale production as customer demand grows. According to the company, the facility also gives customers access to roasting, extraction, concentration, blending, and packaging capabilities within one operation.

“The opening of our Bethlehem facility is an important milestone for our coffee business in North America,” says John Cahalane, President and CEO of Kerry North America. “It brings additional capacity and advanced processing capabilities closer to customers on the East Coast, helping them respond quickly to changing consumer preferences across hot and cold coffee. Just as importantly, it gives us greater flexibility to develop high-quality coffee experiences while identifying opportunities to reduce supply chain complexity and environmental impact.”
