Glanbia Cheese to build new mozzarella cheese facility

Glanbia Cheese is planning to build a €130 million mozzarella cheese manufacturing facility in Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland. Supported by the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland, the new facility will have an annual production capacity of 45,000 tons. It is projected 78 full-time jobs will be created at the facility. If planning permission is achieved, construction will begin later this year, and the facility is expected to begin production in 2020.
