In Booth S-3290 at PACK EXPO International 2026, MACS SRL will feature an “Interactive Video Presentation” of their innovative modular DOYPACK product range, which is both factory and/or future field configurable from a standalone DOY/FILL fill/seal pre-made pouch operation with the addition of DOY/MAKE a roll feed pouch production module, creating the DOY/STAR an integrated form/fill/seal production machine.
The modular DOYPACK product range consisting of the DOY/FILL, DOY/MAKE and ultimately DOY/STAR are the creation of Francesco Marchioni, CEO and former Chief Engineer at FIMA and IMA for over 25 years.
Starting with an in-depth detailed assessment in 2016 of all the existing DOY pouch product ranges i.e. fill/seal of pre-made pouches and form/fill/seal roll feed pouches identifying design issues and limitations. This database created the new comprehensive and user-friendly MACS DOYPACK product range, which also incorporates improved individual process functions.
Starting with the modular DOY/FILL machine running “pre-made pouches” at multiple worldwide customer installations.
Advantage these customers installations can at any future time “field convert” there existing DOY/FILL machines into a “fully integrated form/fill/seal roll feed machine” by easily adding the MACS DOY/MAKE module!!!
Both the FILL and MAKE modules feature scalable servo controlled and quick-change adjustability for different pouch sizes, configurations, features with single/dual/triple/quad filling capabilities.
This now becomes the DOY/STAR form/fill/seal machine featuring an Allen-Bradley control platform with production speeds up to 240+ppm with a compact footprint of 21’-4” long x 7’-3” wide.
Bonus the customer’s field-conversion machine still “retains its original pre-made pouch metering magazine” providing the customer with the additional production flexibility of running both form/fill/seal roll-feed pouches and “pre-made pouches” as well!!!
The DOY/MAKE module forms and seals all formation steps in the preferred “horizontal film position" which is method that high-volume “pre-made pouch converters utilize”. The film material is always under constant tension and servo speed control. Registered film control incorporates continuous, intermittent, and buffered material movements which ensure finite control during each individual pouch formation operation.
A strong trend amongst customers is the option to purchase a DOY/MAKE standalone module after installing their DOY/FILL standalone module and installing it separately in a contamination-free area, producing “pre-made pouches” as a standalone module at a significantly higher production rate up to 400+ppm; this benefits customers who need to install the DOY/FILL module in different environments, i.e. humid and dry. Therefore, the single DOY/MAKE module can product sufficient pouch quantities and configurations for multiple DOY/FILL modules, AND/OR existing customers production requirements with “competitors” fill/seal machines which require pre-made pouches, ensuring a significant material cost saving, just-in-time production and an attractive return on investment.
MACS SRL says no other pouch equipment manufacturer offers these patented modular capabilities, flexibility, features and options.

Flexible pouch features and options: DOYPOUCH and Standup pouches flexible materials opening with perforation, zipper, slider, hanger hole, hand hole, die-cut shapes, side gussets, pour spouts, screw cap spouts, standing pouch, retort capability and environmentally friendly materials. Heat seal, multi-step heat and cool seals, ultrasonic seals and seal inspection.
The MACS DOYPACK product range can easily be integrated with a range of product filling options: Multi-Head Weighers, Volumetric Fillers, Auger Fillers, Linear Scales, Cup Fillers and Liquid Pump Fillers suitable for all customer product applications. Including specialty processing applications for product cooling, pasteurization, etc.
